After more than a year and a half, Los Altos Stage Company this week launches its first series of live performances at Bus Barn Theater.
“Tiny Beautiful Things,” which kicks off its 2021-2022 Back in the Barn season, previews Thursday, opens Friday and runs through Oct. 3.
Based on the book by Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, the story follows Sugar, an online advice columnist who uses her personal experiences to help the real-life readers who pour their hearts out to her. Directed by Jeffrey Lo, “Tiny” is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken and finding the courage to take on the questions that have no answers.
The cast includes Judith Miller, Zaya Kolia, Rosanna Wyant and Francisco Rodriguez.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays. Bus Barn Theater is located at 97 Hillvew Ave.
Five-ticket Stage Passes are $150 and single tickets are $20-$40. A Stage Pass works like a season subscription, with additional flexibility. It includes five vouchers that can be exchanged for tickets to a patron’s production(s) of choice.
