The Community School of Music and Arts presents a free livestreaming musical performance and film screening of “Cambur Pint??n” 7:30 p.m. Saturday on CSMA’s YouTube channel. A film about the power of music, the documentary takes viewers on a musical journey through Venezuela to uncover the grooves of the Venezuelan people’s daily lives. Without narration, “Cambur” showcases how a traditional instrument is made and how its rhythm can move people amid economic and political struggles. In addition, co-producer Rennea Couttenye will perform live Venezuelan music and discuss the filmmaking process and Venezuelan culture. A Venezuelan musician, writer, educator, designer and filmmaker, she performs nationally and internationally at venues such as the Brava Theater, the de Young Museum and the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, with artists such as Aquiles Baez, Wayne Wallace, John Santos, Orestes Vilat?? and John Calloway.
