Shannon Klein’s two dogs, Khalua, left, and Diesel will be featured in her “Dogs of Los Altos 2” book. Khalua is a 10-year-old Pomeranian Chihuahua and Klein said 5-year-old Diesel is likely a German shepherd-rottweiler mix.

Shannon Klein wants your dog. Well, she wants your canine to be featured in her book “Dogs of Los Altos 2.”

Klein, manager of Village Stationers on Main Street, is seeking dogs to photograph for a book she hopes to release this summer. The original “Dogs of Los Altos” book debuted in 2014 and is still available at the store.

Town Crier Pets of the Week: Where are they now?

Elly Mae

From dogs and cats to guinea pigs and carrier pigeons, the Town Crier strives to present a Pet of the Week within each edition.

The pets featured are available for adoption through Palo Alto Animal Services (PAAS) – the contract provider for Los Altos and Los Altos Hills – and many have suffered abuse and/or abandonment before arriving at the shelter for their second (or third, or fourth) chance at a loving, long-lasting home.
