As we approach summer, many parents wonder how they are going to keep their children engaged in productive yet fun activities, especially with the uncertainty of day camp opportunities this year. Parents: Don’t overlook that this is a prime time for your kids to hone valuable skills like cooking.

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to spend more time outside this year. Luckily for me, having a toddler makes it pretty easy.

My daughter loves spending time outdoors. It’s become part of our morning routine, where after we have breakfast, she immediately brings me my shoes, puts on her own shoes, gets my mask and keys, and is ready to head out the door – sometimes even while I am still in my pajamas.

Student Voices: Preparing for the return of in-person classes

Just over a year ago, the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District, along with most every other school district in the world, turned to remote learning as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. You might have already gotten a taste of local author Abigail Hing Wen’s style if you tried the “Passion Attraction” specialty drink at Teaspoon in Los Altos this winter. The drink was created in honor of Hing Wen’s young adult novel “Loveboat, Taipei” (HarperCollins, 2020).
