Local gardener and monarch butterfly expert Eleanor Laney is scheduled to discuss the “Miraculous Migration of the Monarch Butterfly” 9:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 7 in the Carriage House at Gamble Garden, 1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto.
In February, Laney traveled to the 10,000-foot mountains of Michoacan, Mexico, to observe the winter habitat of millions of monarchs. She will share stories and personal photographs of her visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Refreshments will be served.
Cost is $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers and free for children.
