LA Senior Program changes name to Adult 50+ Program

The Los Altos Senior Program has a new name: the Adult 50+ Program.

Classes, services and resources include:

Meditation class: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Dec. 9. Participants can discover the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of meditation with instructor Vijay Dhir in this free Zoom-based class. Register by calling 947-2797. Chair Pilates class: 10-11 a.m. Mondays through Dec. 7. Lori Robbins teaches the free class via Zoom. Participants will need a sturdy armless chair, a yoga mat, two tennis balls, a yoga strap or long tie, a yoga block or thick book, and an 8-inch Gertie ball or similar. Register by calling 947-2797. A Zoom link will be provided by email upon registration.

RoadRunners transportation service: Provided by El Camino Hospital Auxiliary volunteers, RoadRunners offers transportation to and from medical appointments, banks and grocery stores within a 10-mile radius of El Camino Hospital. For more information, call 940-7016 weekdays 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Senior Connection Hotline: Staff members can provide seniors with COVID-19 updates, as well as referrals, resources and other information. Call 947-2797 weekdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
