BridgePoint resident joins First Century Club

BridgePoint at Los Altos is scheduled to honor centenarian Florence “Sunny” Kane, 101, at a luncheon June 5.

Kane, a resident at BridgePoint, a Kisco Senior Living community, joins the First Century Club, created to celebrate those who reach 100 years of age. Kisco premiered the club in May, National Older Americans Month.

The celebration will include gifts and a personalized video that captures Kane’s secrets to longevity. The facility will post the video online at www.firstcenturyclub.com.

When asked her secret to a long life, Kane replied: “I’ve always been up on my feet and walked about 2 miles a day. I’ve been fortunate and never had to worry much about things.”

According to Maria Connelly, leader of Kisco’s National Wellness Team, BridgePoint at Los Altos and other communities under the Kisco umbrella aim to engage residents physically, spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and vocationally.

“Our centenarians epitomize Kisco Senior Living’s innovative ‘The Art of Living Well’ lifestyle,” she said.

BridgePoint at Los Altos is located at 1174 Los Altos Ave. For more information, call 948-7337 or visit www.LifeatBridgePoint.com or www.facebook.com/BridgePointLosAltos.
