Shoreline Lake hosts wine-tasting seminar
Shoreline Lake’s Wine Seminar Series is scheduled to launch 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday with “The Grape Juice Is Finally Here” – a tasting of newly released Beaujolais Nouveau from different negociants.
The series, held on the Lakeside Café patio at 3160 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Mountain View, offers wine enthusiasts an informal and instructional overview of Thanksgiving dinner pairings.
The stand-alone wine-tasting seminars allow participants to learn the basics from experts. Conducted by Matt Silsby of Beltramo’s Wines & Spirits in Menlo Park, the seminars include a short informational presentation, a question-and-answer session and a practical application.
For Thursday’s tasting, hors d’oeuvres will be served to bring out the nuances of the Beaujolais, including gougères, mini-tartines and pear, Roquefort and wild honey bites.
Cost is $50 per person. Participants must be 21 or older.
