Grandmother's persimmon cookies

• 1 cup Hachiya persimmon pulp

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• 1/2 cup butter, softened

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 egg

• 2 cups flour

• 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves

• 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

• 1 teaspoon cinnamon

• 1 cup walnuts

• 1 cup raisins

Dissolve baking soda in persimmon pulp. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in egg and persimmon mix. In separate bowl, combine flour and spices and add to wet ingredients. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 F for 10-12 minutes.
