The bride is the daughter of Edward and Jacqueline Brown of Los Altos. She graduated from Mountain View High School and attended Foothill College. She is employed at Los Altos Union Presbyterian Church as the office associate. The groom is the son of Armand Signes of Hollister and Diane Signes of Rocklin. He graduated from Mountain View High School and attended De Anza and Sierra colleges. He is employed at the California Department of Forestry, Butte County, as a firefighter. The couple honeymooned on a cruise in Mexico.

Jinny Chang and Michael Joseph Rutkowski Jr. have announced their engagement to be married Sept. 14. The ceremony and reception will be held at the Thomas Fogarty Winery. The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Ok-kyung Chang of Sunnyvale. She graduated from Homestead High School, then earned a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in molecular and cell biology and a doctorate in medicine from Washington University School of medicine. She is a physician. The groom-to-be is the son of Michael and Janet Rutkowski of Los Altos. He graduated from Homestead High School, then earned a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in psychology and integrative biology and a juris doctorate from Washington University School of Law. He is employed as an attorney. The couple plan to live in St. Louis, Mo.
