Jaclyn Michelle Radford and Kyle William Recktenwald have announced their engagement to be married in Los Altos in 2019.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Kathy Radford of Los Altos Hills. She graduated from Los Altos High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC San Diego and is pursuing a master’s in higher education at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to graduate school, she was a scheduler for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein in Washington, D.C.

Scouting News : LAH Scouts earn Eagle rank

Chet and Jay Bhateja

Los Altos Hills twins Chet and Jay Bhateja, members of Troop 57 in Palo Alto, earned the rank of Eagle Scout June 28.

Chet completed 35 merit badges and was awarded an Eagle with two Palms, while Jay completed 36 merit badges and received an Eagle with three Palms.

Her special friend and partner, William “Bill” Mitchell, stayed by her side caring for her throughout the most difficult days. She will always be remembered for her beauty, her creative bent that led her to help others achieve better health, and her devotion to animals. Jeanne is survived by her mother, Janet Dobson, of Los Altos, her brothers, Joseph of Tucson, Arizona, and Carl and his wife, Annette, of Windsor, California, and nieces Vicky Estes and Carly Dobson, nephews James, Andrew, and John Dobson. Her mother is most grateful for the special care given to her daughter by her family and loyal friends. Born in New Jersey, she traveled across the country with her parents to become a Californian, where she made their home in Los Altos. During the years that she attended Elementary Schools in Los Altos and through her participation in Camp Fire Girls, she made lasting friendships. She graduated from Mountain View High School then chose to attend business school.
