OBIT JohnWeigen

Radiologist, author, associate professor, activist, philanthropist, wood carver, gardener, and golfer. Devoted husband and father. John died at his home of natural causes, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 95 on October 20th, 2016. 

Along with his wife Patricia of 55 years, he was devoted to enriching the lives of the developmentally disabled and the disadvantaged.


OBIT RobertDavies

Robert William Davies, born 3/18/1922 in Richmond, Indiana passed away on 11/1/2016 at home in Los Altos.

Bob grew up in Richmond, IN and finished high school in Indianapolis, IN. Bob was a straight A student and enrolled in evening classes at IU, while working full time at RCA. In 1942 he met his wife, Marybelle, at RCA. In January of 1943 they married and Bob enlisted in the US Army Air. Marybelle followed him to Texas and Glendale, CA as he went through officer’s training. Bob was the lead navigator for a B-24, stationed in the Pacific, during WW II. When Bob was released from the US Army Air, he decided to attend Perdue University, earning a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.


OBIT KeithPeterson

Los Altos resident Keith Peterson passed away on October 12, 2016. He was 94 years old. Keith was born in 1921 to Oscar and Ruby Peterson in Duluth, Minnesota. As his father was Executive Secretary of the Boy’s YMCA in Duluth, Keith was involved in all the Y clubs, physical activities and teams. Long winters provided plenty of skiing and nearby lakes meant many family camping and fishing trips. 


OBIT MarilynGerber

Marilyn Joyce Gerber, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 88. Marilyn was born in Portland, Oregon and lived there until her teen years when she moved with her family to Berkeley, California. She went on to attend University of California in Berkeley and, on December 27, 1948, she married Leland Kenneth Gerber. She remained in Los Altos, California, the remainder of her life.
