Kay passed peacefully away of old age at 92 with her family and caregiver at her son’s house in Los Altos on September 11, 2016. Kay was born in Casper, Wyoming on February 7, 1924 to Earl William Oliver and Annie Catherine (McCagherty) Oliver. Kay had a younger brother Earl Thomas Oliver who preceded her in death (April 9, 1996). She was married to Laurence Ernest Gardner in Tucson, Arizona on December 27, 1943 while attending St Luke’s Nursing School in Denver Colorado. Her husband was a decorated officer in the USAF for 25 years, so they lived many places during his career, but settled in Los Altos, California at his retirement at the Satellite Test Center in Sunnyvale.


OBIT BettyPickett

Betty Maxine Pickett passed away on September 12, after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 90. She died at home, close to her family, as she wanted. Betty can best be described as a renaissance woman who was humble, energetic and tenacious.

After a valiant three-year battle with esophageal and throat cancer, T.Z. Chu passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday surrounded by family. T.Z. lived a remarkable life, enjoyed a storied career, and is remembered fondly by family, friends, and colleagues around the world.

Irene Fulton passed away peacefully after a long and fulfilling life on September 16, 2016, in San Jose, CA. Her beloved husband, Forrest Fulton, Jr. and her brother Hubert Graves preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children: Carol (and Jeff) Davis, David (and Laurie) Fulton, Elaine (and Kevin) Thompson, and Philip (and Terri) Fulton, as well as grandchildren Kyle Fulton, Leah Wiley-Fulton Davis, Stephanie Fulton, and Helen Thompson and great-grandchildren Sophie and Preston Fulton and Ithaca, Emma, and Patrick Davis. She treasured her nieces, Diana Graves MaKieve and Nenette Graves Penoyer, and nephew, Bill Graves.


Hidden Meadows resident Reinhard “Bo” Siedenburg peacefully took his last breath surrounded by family in his home, on Sept. 16, 2016 at 9:48 pm, after several years of battling COPD and Alzheimer’s.

He was an entrepreneur in the Silicon Valley, early on recognizing the potential of the computer and its ability to change how business is done. In 1951, he graduated Taft College Preparatory in Watertown CT, graduated Yale University in 1955 with a degree in Industrial Administration and then turned his focus towards Business Systems Improvements and on to Sales and Marketing. He started his family in Chicago, IL in 1959. In 1962 he moved to Lake Valhalla, NJ where he was on the School Board.
