Marilyn Warner, 85, died Jan 6, 2021, in Placerville, Calif.
Marilyn Warner (Lyn) was born in 1935 in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Mary and John Owen and she grew up in Olympia Washington after they settled there in 1943.
Lyn, a lover of music, studied piano and voice at the University of Puget Sound and SF State. She fondly recalled many events under Mount St. Helens at Spirit Lake while attending Olympia High School.
While at SF State Lyn met and married Nort Warner and after graduating they sold off their modest belongings in order to head off to Europe for more study. They returned to the East Bay Area, in California, until landing in Los Altos around 1965.
Lyn worked as a bookkeeper and Nort as a teacher, while they raised two boys. After retiring to Cameron Park, California she enjoyed time with her grandchildren until her passing.
Lyn is survived by her sons, Marshall and Stuart, and grandchildren, Megan and Kurtis.
