Meredith Hanseen Jones, 94, a longtime resident of Los Altos, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2021 in Gilbert, Arizona due to dementia. Meredith and Clarence Jones moved to Los Altos in 1957 and resided there for 65 years. Meredith was a homemaker and was involved in charitable work as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered at the Children’s Health Counsel. She graduated college with a degree in Home Economics and joined a neighborhood sewing club making clothes for her daughters including formals and costumes. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and a member of Loyola elementary PTA and a room mother. Meredith belonged to the American Association of University Women. She valued education and enjoyed politics and the arts. She never missed the annual art show at the Rancho.
Meredith was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Randall C. Jones, Gilbert, AZ, Marjean Livington (Clyde), St. Louis, MO and Susan Garside (Blake) Gilbert, AZ, and six grandchildren and spouses and 21 great grandchildren.
Internment and Memorial service will take place June 5, 2021 in Springville, Utah
