Louis. L. Brossard died on July 10, 2019
He was born on January 13, 1929 in Gary IN. After living in different places in the United States and abroad, in 1965 he moved with his family to Los Altos which he loved, and where he lived actively for the rest of his life. He enjoyed many activities including ski patrolling, cycling with the Western Wheelers, and hiking with the Sierra Club.
He had an inquisitive mind and loved tinkering and using his creativity. He volunteered at the Tech Museum in San Jose where he also worked for the first time with Bob Grimm. They constructed the prototype for the annual Tech Challenge. Contributing to the Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade, he worked on floats and built costumes with EL wire (butterflies on roller skates). Another Los Altos volunteer job with Bob was the installation of exhibits at the Los Altos History Museum. He was honored for helping to keep Los Altos clean, since for many years he took his morning walk armed with a trash picker and a plastic bag, leaving the sidewalk behind him neat.
He is survived by his wife, three children and their spouses, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild
