Patricia (Patti) Hirschbek online 050119Patricia (Patti) Hirschbek, 86 - Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, of Mountain View, CA died on Easter Day, April 21, 2019 after a short illness. She was born in Webster City, IA on March 16, 1933, the daughter of Lawrence Floyd Leopold and Rigmor Elizabeth Madsen. Patti retired from the banking industry and was a Branch Manager for San Francisco Federal Savings and Loan in Los Altos for many years. She earned several awards in her profession. Patti was a wonderfully outgoing, caring person who made many friends over the years. She was a member of the Cupertino De Oro Club and Los Altos Garden Club where she held many board positions over the years. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts.

She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Alfred D. Moody and a son, Steven Moody. She leaves her husband of 49 years, John Hirschbek of Mountain View, a son Eric Hirschbek, wife Janelle, grandchildren Shane and Jocelyn of Truckee, CA., a son Michael Moody, wife Pat of Fallon, NV, including his children Dustin and Whitney and great grandchildren of Placerville, CA, a daughter Cindy L. (Moody) D’Arche, husband David of Rio Vista, CA. Patti was a master gardener, who developed an amazing showcase garden at her home, spending many hours daily with the help of her husband, John. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held May 9, 2019 at Spangler’s Los Altos Chapel, 399 South San Antonio Road, Los Altos, California 94022, at 1:00 pm. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Cupertino De Oro Club House, 20441 Homestead Road, Cupertino, CA 95014, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Patti’s name.
