Gary Halkens

Born in August 1934. He passed October 2, 2018. He had been very sick and died in his sleep. Gary was a great employee of the San Francisco Water Department. He spent his working time making water available for homes and businesses everywhere on the peninsula and some spots elsewhere. He always had dreams of being able to help all places obtain water and other necessities. Everyone who was close enough to approach him was able to get help. Gary also helped the Ski Patrol, in the Sierras covering many accidents where there were all kinds of injuries. He also helped neighbors with home needs, and, of course, handled his family’s needs. He loved to build things and please everyone with his abilities. He will be sadly missed by family and those who knew him over his many years.
