Antoinette Delores Seders Johnson

OBIT Antoinette Delores Seders Johnson Antoinette Delores Seders Johnson died peacefully at home in Los Altos, CA on July 27, 2018, holding the hand of her beloved husband, Perry Johnson. She was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Covington, LA to Tony Seders and Louise Sturm. Her mother died in 1931, leaving Antoinette with her dad and three half-siblings. After graduating in 1947, she moved to New Orleans where she worked as a credit girl for a loan company. She later moved to San Diego, CA and worked at the Convair Aircraft Plant as a secretary. She volunteered at the USO where she met the love of her life, a young sailor from New Mexico named Perry Johnson, whom she married on Jan. 21, 1951. Together they had four children: Steve (Cathy), Jerry (Erika), Gina (Carl), and Ronald (Monica).

As a military family, the Johnsons moved up and down the east coast until Perry was transferred to Monterey and then Moffett Air Field where he retired and they settled down in Los Altos in 1978. Antoinette was a perfect southern belle, always wanting to entertain family and friends. She loved large holiday get-togethers. Her favorite pastime was gardening and watching the hummingbirds play amongst the flowers. She was smart in money matters and always willing to give advice to her children, who thought they knew better—until they eventually realized she was right, of course. She leaves behind to mourn her passing Perry, her husband of 67 years, her 4 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. She is scheduled for cremation and inurnment to await her beloved husband.
