Jerry Allred

OBIT Jerry Allred onlineDecember 29, 1922 – June 21, 2018 A longtime resident of Los Altos, Jerry was born in Denver, Colorado. He grew up and went to school in San Francisco. Alongside his mother, he worked as a welder in the San Francisco shipyards during WWII. He served in the US Army in Korea. And, upon returning home, he resumed his lifelong passion of playing golf whenever and wherever he could. Jerry became a PGA member and the Assistant Golf Pro at Harding Park Golf Course at Lake Merced in the early 1950s. He finished his career working over 30 years as a general contractor/carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Emma, his wife, Alberta, and his sisters, Jean Homan and Betty Rogers. His is survived by his nieces and nephews and numerous neighbors and friends. He was one-of-a-kind and is truly missed. For additional information, please see the full obituary at
