Carol Tinling passed away this past May. She was 95 years old and still feisty.

Carol was married to Bruce E. Tinling who preceded her in death by two years.

Bruce and Carol met at Ames Research Center where Bruce was an aerospace engineer and Carol was an editor for the papers the scientists wrote. Bruce and Carol were crazy about each other and lived in Los Altos for over sixty years.

Both Carol and Bruce were involved with Allied Arts Guild for many years. Bruce’s passion was plane-wing design and he was a brilliant engineer. Bruce suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and died from complications. Carol died after a short bout of pneumonia but was very alert to the end.

They had no children, but they have many nephews and nieces who loved them and miss them.
