84, of Los Altos, CA 

Died peacefully on June 30, 2014

Cliff was born Christmas Day, 1929 in Manitowac, Wisconsin.

  Graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowac, WI in 1948 where he served as sophmore class president and senior class vice-president, he played on the basketball and track teams and represented the school at Badger Boys State. Cliff served two tours of duty as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army in during the Korean War. Cliff attended Valparaiso University and graduated with majors in accounting and engineering from the University of Wisconsin. His management career in the food industry included Kraft Foods, Campbell Soup, Pepperidge Farm and Marriott Corporation. In 1971 he moved to California and later worked as an Administrative Officer for the City of San Jose for 20 years. He was a life long fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Delma and his parents Adelhait and Edgar Maurer of Manitowac, WI. He is survived by his children - Skip and Lori Maurer or Folsom, CA, Carol and Paul Mackinlay of Los Gatos, CA and Barbara and Steve Williams of Lafayette, CA, as well as five beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings - Richard Maurer, Charles Maurer and Junice Budnik.  

Services are being held for the family in Palo Alto, CA later this month.
