Kay and Glenn lived in Los Altos during the 1990s, when he was active in Rotary and the Los Altos Methodist Church. In 1998 he married Ellen Connor Oleson, who died in November 2011.

Glenn had a long and successful career with Shell Chemical Co, where he became a Plant Manager and built two chemical plants, one in Belpre, Ohio and one in Geismar, Louisiana. After his retirement he joined SCORE and enjoyed advising small business owners. He was interested in archeology, travel and good wine.

Glenn was predeceased by daughter Pamela Erb.
