Former resident of Los Altos

Born on January 20, 1938 and passed into God’s presence on January 20, 2014.

Marilyn was an elementary school teacher in the Los Altos/Mt. View area for her entire career. Parents (some were former students) would try very hard to get their children into her class because of her excellent reputation. Marilyn’s favorite hobby was gardening – she never met a flower she didn’t like! She loved to entertain close friends and family with wonderful gatherings in her home. Over her lifetime Marilyn was a very loving owner of many dogs including Missy, Buffy, McDuff and McGregor.

Marilyn is survived by her cousins Virginia Young, Adeline Boone, Jacqueline Bottarini, Patricia Boone, Barbara Lucero, Linda Miller and their families, and nephew Robert Kosten, as well as McGregor, her special dog.

A memorial service was held January 27th at Alta Mesa Memorial Park. Another celebration of Marilyn’s wonderful life is being planned for 4:30pm Thursday, February 13th at Montecito Preschool in Los Altos.
