May 23, 1919 – July 22, 2013

Resident of Los Altos Hills

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Daisy Mae Wasson. Daisy, as all her friends knew her and Nana to the entire family, was born on May 23, 1919 in Stockton, CA and lived in Los Altos Hills for 60 years.

At 94, Nana was the matriarch of the Wasson family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she became a friend to all she met. Daisy is survived by her loving husband of 63-years, Edward, daughter Judith (Mark) and sons Robert (Patricia) and James (Jane). Nana also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jennifer, Jillian, Jamie, Julia, Chrissy and Stacey.

Daisy was a life long member of Los Altos Lutheran Church. She was active in so many facets of the church it cannot be listed here. Her many friends from church will indeed miss her kindness and smiling face. Daisy will always be remembered for her thoughtful and gentle way. She met her challenging medical conditions with both determination and a positive attitude. To her family and many close friends she will always be the example of unconditional love and strength. After raising her 3 children, Daisy and Ed began traveling. She was fortunate to have seen so much of the world and in each location certainly left a lasting impression on those people she met.

There will be a private burial followed by a celebration of her life by her many friends at Sunny View Community Rose Garden in Cupertino on Saturday August 3 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers her family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
