September 30, 1920 – July 12, 2012

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend

Margaret was born in Hudson, Massachusetts and moved to Rockland, Maine in 1923 where she grew up. Margaret was 18 when she went to work for the War Department in

Washington DC, where she met and married Joseph Salameda on May 22, 1943. Margaret and Joe settled in Palo Alto then Los Altos after the end of World War II. Margaret was a homemaker and volunteered at the Retarded Children’s Guild. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, putting together puzzles with friends Vernon and Velma Gomes, working the crossword puzzle and was a Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants fan. Margaret also loved to play bridge with her friends and volunteered at the History House in Los Altos as well as the Garden House.

She is survived by her children: Martin Salameda and Dandan Chen of Palo Alto, Rosemarie (Salameda) Robinson of Mountain View; Ruth Ann (Salameda) and Mark Schulte of Roseville and Joseph (Jay) Salameda of Santa Clara; grandchildren: Amanda (Schulte) Millikan of Lincoln; Marissa Robinson of Mountain View; Alyssa (Schulte) Petrich of Riverside; Helen Yang of Palo Alto, Angela and Kyler Salameda of Palo Alto; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Aurora Millikan.

Services have been held.
