El Camino Hospital in Mountain View recently appointed Deborah Muro its new chief information officer.

Muro joined the hospital as associate CIO in 2014.

Noteworthy: Local students win DAR essay contest

The Los Altos Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors an annual essay contest for students on a topic related to American history.

This year, the 100th anniversary of World War I, students were required to imagine that they were living in 1918 and write on the topic “World War I: Remembering the War to End All Wars.”

Los Altos resident Sandy Goldstein seeks donations of yarn to make scarves, hats and blankets for the homeless and residents in need through her One Warm Scarf project.

Noteworthy: CSA appoints new associate director

Community Services Agency recently named Nicole Fargo Nosich its new associate director. She succeeds Maureen Wadiak, who retired earlier last October after 20 years at CSA.

“We are thrilled that Nicole has accepted the position,” said Executive Director Tom Myers. “She has been a rising star since joining our team in 2013 and has demonstrated remarkable poise and expertise in the positions she has held at CSA.”
