Scouting News: 3 new Eagle Scouts join Troop 37's ranks

Los Altos Boy Scout Troop 37 recently honored three members for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouting.

The new Eagle Scouts organized and led a community service project, held various troop leadership positions and completed at least 21 merit badges.

The three new Eagle Scouts and their projects:

• Kyle Marino, a senior at Los Altos High, restored five table and bench sets for the Los Altos History Museum. He served as assistant senior patrol leader and patrol leader for the troop and spent two years mentoring Cub Scouts as den chief.

• Amir Tadros, a senior at Los Altos High, built two planters for Bright Beginnings Preschool and created a “Gardening with Preschoolers” binder for the preschool to use. He led the troop as senior patrol leader and also served as patrol leader and den chief.

• Clark Webster, a senior at Los Altos High, refurbished a garden at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sunnyvale. He led the troop as senior patrol leader and also served several terms as assistant senior patrol leader and patrol leader.
