Boy Scout Troop 33 of Los Altos recently conducted its Eagle Court of Honor ceremony for three new Eagle Scouts.

The Eagle designation is the highest rank in Scouting.

To earn the Eagle rank, Scouts must complete a community service project.

The new Eagle Scouts and their projects:

• Zack Moore took seven inner-city boys on a seven-day backpacking trip in Desolation Wilderness in the Sierra. The trip included three days of preparation, skill acquisition and practice hikes.

• Winn Hartford created a searchable database for the library books at St. Timothy’s Preschool in Mountain View. He also organized the books by genre and built shelving to house the book collection.

• Kyler Blasing improved the Purissima Little League Juniors’ baseball field by refinishing the diamond backstop, re-roofing the dugouts and building and installing storage cupboards in both dugouts for players’ equipment.
