Leader marks 31 years with Troop 31

Los Altos Boy Scout Troop 31 honored assistant scoutmaster Bill Gascoyne April 2.

More than three decades ago, Gascoyne, an Eagle Scout, arrived in California to work as an engineer. He contacted the local Boy Scouts office to inquire about volunteer opportunities and landed at Troop 31. The Troop 31 community recognized Gascoyne, who oversees training of new scouts, for his 31 years of dedication and service.

Troop 31, established in 1957, meets at Los Altos Lutheran Church.
