Symphony offers sound in "Pictures"

The Nova Vista Symphony Association is scheduled to present “Promenades and Pictures” 2 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St.

The symphony, led by director Anthony Quartuccio, will perform Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” and Smetana’s “Three Dances from ‘The Bartered Bride.’”

The event includes a pre-concert talk and post-concert reception to celebrate the new season.

Tickets are $25 adult, $15 senior/student, free for children 12 and under.
