Travel operator discusses Norwegian cruise
Maureen Jones of All Horizons Travel in Los Altos is scheduled to discuss her recent trip to Norway 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Program Room of the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.
Jones’ three-week tour included a Hurtigruten cruise that travels what is considered one of the world’s most beautiful voyages. The cruise, which stops at 34 ports delivering mail and groceries to remote Norwegian villages, offers vistas of fjords, waterways and ports that larger ships cannot reach. Depending on the time of year, passengers experience the Midnight Sun, the Northern Lights, the Arctic, Spitsbergen and unparalleled stargazing. Hurtigruten sails to Greenland and Iceland and crosses the Arctic Circle, celebrating native traditions, folk music, food and history.
Admission is free and open to the public.
