A group of poodle enthusiasts have scheduled the fourth annual Poodle Day Oct. 5 in Carmel.
The event unites poodle and poodle-mix owners and lovers – and their furry friends – for a day filled with dog-related activities, including a parade, free dog health screenings and organized play at Carmel Beach. Carmel consistently ranks as one of Dog Fancy’s top 10 most dog-friendly cities in the U.S.
Proceeds from Poodle Day benefit NorCal Poodle Rescue, a haven for poodles and poodle mixes in need.
Organizers emphasize that Poodle Day is a fun, family-friendly event day, not a show. They expect more than 500 dogs and 1,000 people to attend this year’s festivities.
