The Pear Theatre tradition of nontraditional holiday fare continues with the world premiere of “Girls Kill Nazis,” which is scheduled to run through Dec. 2 in Mountain View.
James Kopp’s comedy is set in the not-too-distant future. The American Nazi Party has been elected to the highest office in the United States, and Nazi law is now American law. But the members of the book club of Bisbee, Ariz., aren’t having any of it. From the haven of the Copper Queen Library – and while discussing inspirational works like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “1984” and “Fahrenheit 451” – four women bond together to fight back against fascism. They kill Nazis who pose a threat to their community, and store their decapitated heads in jars.
