TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and Opera San José will present the world premiere livestream of “Hershey Felder, Puccini” 5 p.m. Sunday, with on-demand streaming offered through March 21.

The production stars virtuoso pianist/performer Hershey Felder, who will be joined by opera guest stars baritone Nathan Gunn, soprano Gianna Corbisiero and tenor Charles Castronovo.

“Puccini” tells the story of a young musician captivated by the world of opera, particularly by Giacomo Puccini’s “La bohème,” “Tosca” and “Madama Butterfly.” When, through a series of unusual circumstances, the young musician meets the musical master himself, secrets are revealed that open a whole new world for the young man.

Directed by Felder and Stefano Decarli, the show will be performed in Lucca, Italy, at the home where Puccini was born.
