Palo Alto Players’ online production of the two-person musical “The Last Five Years” is set to be streamed Friday through Jan. 31.

With music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, the 90-minute show tells the story of the relationship between Cathy, an aspiring actress, and Jamie, a novelist.

Following them through haunting and hilarious points in their marriage, the show focuses on common themes of contemporary marriage – especially time.

Marah Sotelo stars as Cathy and Chris Sotelo plays Jamie. The production team includes director Patrick Klein, vocal director Dolores Duran-Cefalu and technical director Scott Ludwig.

The show is recommended for ages 16 and up.

Streaming access is on a pay-what-you-choose basis, with levels ranging from $25-$100.
