The Ragazzi Boys Chorus encourages young boys who enjoy singing to attend a digital incarnation of its SingFest mini-camp that is set for 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
With in-person gatherings prohibited, the free event was moved online so that young singers have the opportunity to play games and get to know Ragazzi’s chorus from the comfort of their homes. In a press release, Ragazzi officials said SingFest “seamlessly integrates zero-stress choral auditions for the Spring 2021 semester.”
Saturday morning’s event is open to boys ages 7-10. No singing experience in necessary.
For those who are unable to attend SingFest but are interested in joining, Ragazzi is hosting online auditions by appointment for potential members. Boys 5-18 and their parents can get introduced to the Peninsula-based group via one-on-one digital meetings with a Ragazzi chorus director and participate in short singing games appropriate to their age level. No singing experience is required for those under 12.
Sign-ups are also open for Ragazzi’s Music & Movement class for boys 5-7; no audition is required for the interactive class.
