Stepping Out

Foothill’s ‘Culture Clatter’ concludes Saturday evening

The first play in Los Altos Stage Company’s virtual mini season, Becky Mode’s “Fully Committed,” is slated to close Sunday.

The fully produced one-person shows in the three-play season are designed to bridge the gap until LASC can present its regular 2020-2021 season, according to company officials.

Max Tachis stars in “Fully Committed,” directed by his wife, Roneet Aliza Rahamim. Tachis portrays more than 40 characters in the 75-minute play.

The story centers on Sam, who works the reservation line at one of New York’s hottest restaurants, where the best food inspires the worst behavior. Coercion, threats and bribes from a cast of desperate callers – all brought to life by Tachis – prove they will stop at nothing to land a prime reservation or the right table. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he still manage to get home for the holidays?

Tickets to livestream the show Friday, Saturday or Sunday are $20 per household.
