Peninsula Youth Theatre is set to perform Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” via Zoom this weekend.
“This is the first time PYT has told the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge – the meanest man in London who learns a timeless lesson of love, charity and hope – in this modern format,” PYT executive director Karen Simpson said.
Simpson, who adapted the book for PYT, also directs.
Recorded shows are set for 10 a.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with a live performance slated 7:30 p.m. Saturday. A talkback session with actors Beatrice Bell, Megan Branstad, Beau Bornmann, Avery Fox, Elowyn Ingler, Talia Lawit, Eliza Lyon, Eric Matsumoto, Viola Nissar, Sierra Prochniak, Maya Pullara, Olivia Rosenthal, Ben Siegel and Olivia Spreen follows each show.
Tickets are $2-$5 for the recorded shows and pay-what-you-will for the live performance.
