Wise Owl Players’ ‘Oldest Profession’ opens virtually Saturday afternoon

The Wise Owl Players, a local drama program for people ages 50 and up, is slated to livestream its production of Paula Vogel’s “The Oldest Profession” this weekend.

 

The comedy/drama is about five senior prostitutes who still enjoy their jobs but are struggling in New York City in the early 1980s. It is recommended for ages 18 and over.

Enid Davis directs the full-length play, which features costumes, virtual scenery (shot on location) and jazz music by Jeremy Erman. The cast includes Katherine Chappelear, Taffy Hoffman, Ellin Klor, MaryJo Lomax, Jane Stefani and Ellen Wallace.

Shows are set for 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
