Solo guitarist Kaki King is scheduled to perform 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View.
The concert, to be held in Tateuchi Hall, is part of CSMA’s Community Concert Series.
Hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as “a genre unto herself,” Brooklyn-based King will perform an evening of her own compositions.
King has released nine albums and created music for several films, including “August Rush” and Sean Penn’s “Into the Wild,” for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Score. She recently recorded her first full-length album with a symphony orchestra, commissioned by the Berklee College of Music, and added album producer and record-label owner to her credits.
Admission is free.
CSMA is located at 230 San Antonio Circle.
