The Foothill College Theatre Arts Department presents “Twelve Angry Men” and “Twelve Angry Women” through June 9 in the Loh- man Theatre at Foothill, 12345 S. El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.
A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case – until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. The tense deliberations become personal, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and revelations about human behaviors emerge. Tempers get short, arguments grow heated and the jurors get angry.
Foothill is staging two productions of the classic American drama, featuring male (“Angry Men) and female (“Angry Women”) casts directed by Tom Gough and Roneet Aliza Rahamim, respectively. They are supported by Joseph Hidde (scenic design), Kathleen Qiu (costume design), Mary Baronitis (lighting design) and Isaiah Ashburn (sound design).
