'Peter Pan' plays on at Lucie Stern

Palo Alto Players last week launched its production of “Peter Pan,” scheduled to run through Nov. 19 at the Lucie Stern Theater, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

Based on the play by James M. Barrie, the story follows Peter Pan and the Darling children to Neverland as they encounter the loony Lost Boys, pirates led by Captain Hook and a carnivorous crocodile.

Janie Scott directs 26 Bay Area actors, including Brittney Mignano (as Wendy Darling), Amay Goel (John Darling), Billy Hutton (Michael Darling), Corrie Farbstein (Peter Pan), Shawn Bender (Smee) and John Bisceglie (Mr. Darling/Captain Hook).

Shows are slated 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.
