The Los Altos Stage Company’s production of “The Crucible” opened last week and is slated to run through Oct. 1 at Bus Barn Theater, 97 Hillview Ave.
Arthur Miller’s play – which won the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play and was made into a film in 1996 – tells the story of four young girls in 17th-century Massachusetts who are accused of being involved with the devil.
Jeffrey Lo directs “The Crucible.” He received the 2014 Leigh Weimers Emerging Artist Award. Lo previously directed “Dead Man’s Cellphone” and “Yellow Face” for Los Altos Stage Company.
The cast includes Joe Antonicelli, Nicole Apostol Bruno, Michael Champlin, Jeff Clarke, Carolyn Compton, Mat Espinosa, Marjorie Hazeltine, Alexandra Ho, Leslie Ivy, Gary Landis, Maria G. Marquis, Shareen Merriam, Brittany Pisoni, Roneet Aliza Rahamim, Neiry Rojo, Ellie Schwartz, Max Tachis, Damian Vega and Cameron Wells.
Performances are scheduled 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays.
