'Show' goes on at Foothill

The Foothill Music Theatre production of the Tony Award-nominated musical “Side Show” – the true story of conjoined twins who rose to become stars in the 1930s – is scheduled to run through March 19.

“Side Show” tells the story of Violet and Daisy Hilton, twins conjoined at the hip, and how their extraordinary bond brings them fame but denies them love. It follows the twins’ progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie “Freaks.”

The play features book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger.

Milissa Carey directs. Lauren Meyer and Jessica LaFever star as Violet and Daisy, respectively.

“Side Show” also stars Edward Clark (as Jake), Tarif Pappu (Buddy), Sean Okuniewicz (Terry) and Kenneth Boswell (Sir).

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. March 19 in Lohman Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 S. El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.
