Trees for sports

The MVLA High School Christmas Tree Lot is back in business, scheduled to be open 4-7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends at the former location of Blockbuster, 1035 El Monte Ave., Mountain View. Baseball tryouts

The Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball Mavericks, a Cooperstown Club Team for players 12-and-under, has scheduled tryouts 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Covington School, 201 Covington Road, Los Altos. Holiday hoops camp

Spartans Sports Camp’s inaugural Holiday Basketball Camp is scheduled 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 26-29 in the Mountain View High gym. It is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8. PONY registration
