Horses & Halloween

Tee it up

The annual Palo Alto City Men’s Golf Championship is scheduled Saturday and Sunday at the Palo Alto Golf Course. The format is 36 holes of stroke play. Cost is $150, which includes greens fees and awards. For more information, call Rich Bin at 856-0881.

Pumpkins for sports

The Los Altos High School Sports Boosters have scheduled their annual Pumpkin Patch 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through Halloween in the student parking lot at 201 Almond Ave. Pumpkins in an array of shapes and sizes are available. Proceeds benefit the school’s athletic programs.

‘Reveal’ reel at LAHS

The Bay Area screening of the adventure film “Reveal the Path” is scheduled 7:30-10 p.m. Friday at Los Altos High’s Eagle Theater, 201 Almond Ave. The film explores – from the seat of a bicycle – Scotland’s lush valleys, Europe’s snowcapped mountains, Morocco’s high desert, Nepal’s rural countryside and Alaska’s rugged coastline. Soccer tryouts

Two under-14 girls teams from the Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club – the Devils 98 and Revolution 98 – seek enthusiastic, skilled and committed players for the spring season. The teams are open to girls born between Aug. 1 1998, and July 31, 1999. The tryouts are scheduled 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ortega Park, 636 Harrow Way, Sunnyvale. Spartans Sports Camp’s inaugural Holiday Basketball Camp is scheduled 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 26-29 in the Mountain View High gym. It is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8.
