The California Interscholastic Federation, which governs the state's high school sports, last month announced that student-athletes have been granted more time to file a financial hardship transfer due to the pandemic.
The application period was extended from the first semester of 2020-21 to the end of the school year.
Those seeking a transfer to another high school in the state must demonstrate and verify a hardship condition due to financial difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 virus, according to the CIF.
