Topps makes card set with MV grad Hayward

Mountain View High graduate and pro softball player Victoria Hayward is featured in The Topps Company’s new 20-card Athletes Unlimited Championship Set.

Tree lots support high school sports

The sports boosters clubs at the local high schools launched their tree lots last week. The Spartans Tree Lot, run by the Mountain View High School Sports Boosters, is online this year due to the pandemic. Order trees and accessories at spartanstreelot.com and they will be delivered, contact-free, to your home. Proceeds benefit Mountain View High athletics. Volunteer delivery drivers (no students) are also needed; sign up at mvhstt.ivolunteer.com/treelot. The Los Altos High School Athletic Boosters Holiday Tree Lot has opened in its usual location: the parking lot at Chase Bank, 749 W. El Camino Real in Mountain View. The lot’s hours are 3:30-8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends through Dec. 23. Proceeds support Los Altos High athletics.

The California Interscholastic Federation, the governing body for the state’s high school sports, issues a free monthly newsletter via email for parents/guardians of student-athletes in California.
