CCS names Marrone honor coach for golf
St. Francis High’s Phil Marrone has been named the 2018-19 Central Coast Section Girls Golf Honor Coach. Chosen by his peers, Marrone will be recognized at the end of the fall season. Criteria for selection include maintaining professional standards of conduct, outstanding coaching accomplishments, additional contributions to school and community, and serving as a role model to athletes and coaches
LAHS pumpkin patch supports sports
The Los Altos High School Athletic Boosters Pumpkin Patch is open in the far corner of the student parking lot, 201 Almond Ave. Hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends through Tuesday. Proceeds benefit Los Altos High athletics.
MVHS hosts meeting for parents & coaches
Mountain View High’s parent/coach information meeting for the winter sports (basketball, soccer and wrestling) is scheduled 6:30-8:30 p.m. today in the Spartan Theater, 3535 Truman Ave. Topics include participation requirements, specifically sports physicals, and online registration. Representatives from the MVHS Sports Boosters and the Positive Coaching Alliance are also expected to speak.
