LAHS Pumpkin patch supports sports

The Los Altos High School Athletic Boosters Pumpkin Patch opened last week in the far corner of the student parking lot. Hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends through Oct. 30. Proceeds benefit Los Altos High athletics.

MVHS hosts meeting for parents & coaches

Mountain View High’s parent/coach information meeting for winter sports (basketball, soccer and wrestling) is scheduled 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Spartan Theater. Topics include participation requirements, specifically sports physicals, and online registration. Representatives from the MVHS Sports Boosters and the Positive Coaching Alliance are also expected to speak. Women’s golf group invites new members

Tuesday Toppers, a women’s nine-hole golf group with local members, tees off 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Pruneridge Golf Club, 400 Saratoga Ave., Santa Clara. Cost is $5, plus $17-$22 per round. To join and for more information, visit pruneridgegolfclub.com.

City of Mtn. View offers open gym

The Mountain View Recreation Division’s Teen Open Gym, free and open to the city’s middle and high school students, is scheduled 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Whisman Sports Center, 1500 Middlefield Road. Must show ID at the door. For more information, call 903-6331.
